About MMA

Modern Müzik Akademisi' (MMA) is the first private music institution in Istanbul Turkey that is built on an area of nearly 1000 sqm. We have prepared a detailed curriculum and educational environment for Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, Vocals, Sound Technology and Music Production.

Our premises include 4 studio/classrooms, concert hall, recording studio, lounge areas, library and student services. Every studio, with sound isolation contains drum sets, guitars, amplifiers, recording equipment, PA systems.  Each room is connected to the recording studio-control room for multi simultaneous recording purposes via multicore cables.  Our professional recording studio is equipped with mLAN Firewire Music Networking technology developed by Yamaha and Steinberg. 

At MMA full time certificate programs, part time courses and workshops will be available for all levels and ages.  Our curriculum covers all modern music genres like pop, rock, blues, funk and jazz; is carried out by country's leading musicians and tutors.

Full time programs are 28 weeks - 560 hours in total.  Participants have instrument lessons, harmony & theory, ear training, sight reading, songwriting, repertoire, live playing workshops and stylistic workshops.  During the course period, live performance, composition and recording projects provide an interactive learning environment for our students.

Private lessons and part-time courses are available for individuals who could not be full time dedicated for comprehensive music education but still eager to learn.  We are running 12 week courses for different levels on each instrument as well as specific programs for children to help out their physical and mental growth.  Also workshop topics vary from Harmony, Songwriting to Band Coaching, Recording Techniques...

At the heart of Istanbul (cultural capital of Turkey) we host seminars, clinics and live performances from all different areas of music by top artists and industry professionals.  Besides educational services MMA Publications print and distribute instructional music books.
